The nights are getting better

So I have to comment on my darling girls. The last couple weeks Paiges has decided that she will sleep. We have been dealing with no sleep for 5 months now. I mean she was getting up every 2-3 hours for the first 5 months of life. It was ruff!! My poor wife had to take the main brunt of it too. That seems to be changing and we are all so happy! Carmyn is giving everyone a run for their money it does not matter who watches her by the end they are tired and she is still running non stop and building speed.
I am a lucky man. 3 beautiful girls in my life, the best dog, a roof over my head and a good job!

end of summer

Well Ski season out here is coming to an end. For about 3 weeks now I have not gone to the lake in the morning because it is dark and cold 50-60. my summer routine was get up at 5am be skiing by 6am when i was in town. It worked out really nice. I was able to be home everynight with the family and still have all the fun I wanted.

Good news now its time to get back in shape. With waterskiing so early it cut into the work out time. So now Hooch and I have been running in the mornings. She is either getting faster or I am getting slower but it is working out well. I bought some new shoes a while ago and thought I would share them with you they are five finger shoes. They are alot of fun and great to work out in. You really focus on how to run right. I ordered black and got yellow and blue so now i get looks no matter what.

After 4 1/2 years of marriage Amber has lost 4lbs and I have gained 4lbs so i need to loose that 4 and get back down to marriage wieght. Water skiing requires you to be in shape but does not get or keep you in shape. ;)

everything is changing

So many changes.
Well I suppose the news is out or will be soon enough. I have taken the position in Utah. We will be moving back within the month to get working on that area. That means in the next couple weeks we will be packing a home putting it on the market and moving.
The new area is actually bigger geographically I will cover Utah Arizona Colorado and southern Idaho. The good news is I will be able to water ski and snowmobile in the same week. Amber will be close to home so she will have more help with the kids. She is excited. I am sad to leave we have made some great friends and I really like the area. It’s crazy to say but it is true Missouri is pretty darn nice.

We upgraded

according to the nurses we have upgraded. Paige is in a isolet. apparently this will keep her temp better regulated and she can start gaining weight. Last night we gave her the blue light to help everything out. She is on jaundice yet but we want to keep it under control because it can climb so fast.

First we had a little bright blue light more powerful. The only problem is it made her to hot.

Another good thing, no more IV she has graduated. Tomorrow we will be doing just oral feedings. I will be able to use a bottle with her tomorrow. If she can do all oral then tomorrow we will get rid of the NG tube. Once this happens all we have to do is gain weight.Darn cute.

Update

Everything is still going well. Paige had her first feeding and everything went as good as possible!! Today she will get a ng tube and they will put her in the isolet. The Nurse assured us this is a step forward not back. In the isolet she will not loose as much fluid put on weight and be weened off everything. Also they will take out the IV if she keeps doing well.
We have a few days yet but all is good.

"ALL" she needs to do is be able to eat everything orally, hold her own temp, and start gaining weight and we are good to go.

Thanks for all the prayers

Welcome to the Family

And shes is here
Paige was born April 21 11:47PM
weight 5lbs 9 oz
length 18.5 inches

She did so well right at first they allowed us to hold her for 10 min. We each took our turn and truly enjoyed every second
They would not let us hold her for 24 hours. We were told that if we would let her rest there is a better chance she will not get stressed and progress much faster. Then at the 24 hour mark we gave her a bath and did a stress test. So far she is passing all the tests with flying colors. She has not had oxygen at all. In the beginning her breathing was fast it has slowed with in 12 hours. She looks red but her bilirubin is normal, we might have darker baby

After the bath we held her again for another hour. What a great time.
Looking into her eyes is the best thing a father can do

So 1st day Amber thought this kid might look like her then after the bath My signature mark was revealed. Now we cannot tame it down.

We wore her out and ourselves at the same time. 3am time for bed. Since she has come 3am has now become the norm.
